Rockland

RocklandLike Fairfield, Rockland was also developed from the Fairfield Farm Estate in the early 1880's.  It was designed to be a prestigious neighbourhood and had many commissioned homes designed by Samuel Maclure.  Rockland is home to Government House, the ceremonial home of all British Columbians and the Lieutenant Governor of BC, the Honourable Steven Point, OBC.

Craigdarroch Castle is also in Rockland, located on Joan Crescent. Craigdarroch was built in 1890 by Robert Dunsmuir, the Scottish immigrant who made his fortune in coal on Vancouver Island.
